Madtwins, by zoo they mean its a very fast pace of life. It can get hectic, a "rat race" at times, but its way more mellow than LA. Although, I think I would want to retire somewhere else.

Hey, Steve! Thanx a lotto! That's nice that you explain to us about OC. Becouse when we read about zoo we thougt that it mean another think, but not about people quantity. Ok, we can understand you well, because here all people moved to capotal (like we also made) because here they can get a work. We think that US people want to live in OC because it's a famous plase. Also want to say that Mascow is also zoo

Erica got it right also.....Its a very fast paced way of life. Time is one of our most valuable resources. In other words, like Erica said, its a rat race. Its much more slang than anything with a particular meaning.

30% of the U.S. lives within 100 miles of LA, but still it has no subway system....

(hollywood's one doesn't count)

Facts seem to be off ... all of California represents roughly 12% of the US population. Perhaps 30% of California residents live within 100 miles of LA ... refer to the bureau of statistics or an encyclopedia

Your absolutely right mudd. According to the us census, approx 12% of the US population is California. i dont know what i was thinking. But nearly 90% of Californians live within 100 miles of LA. So if you think about it, thats almost 10% of the us population, which is still very staggering.

I work in O.C. and have noticed that it is definitely a little more fast-paced than San Diego. The people don't seem very friendly either, but that may be because the company I work for is located in Newport Beach. I haven't really had the chance to check out other cities in O.C. yet...

WOW! 30% of the entire US population lives within 100 miles of Los Angeles?? I would have never thought that....especially with how large New York is. Thats insane!
...and time being one of our most valuable resources, no joke! My favoite saying is "time is money". I'd rather drive to a convenient store around the corner, than drive a few miles and wait in a long line to save $20.

Yes, there are a lot of Nazis here, but there are over 250,000 other people also, so there are a lot of all kinds of people. Huntington Beach alone is as big as quite a few other major metropoliton areas in the country.
